Bart learns in Sunday school that apes can't get into heaven, not even the cute ones that roller skate and smoke cigars.

Among the jungle noises emanating from Bart's locker is that of a monkey screeching.

8F18: A Streetcar Named Marge
As Homer wails at her from outside Flanders' window, Marge mutters "keep yelling, you big ape."

9F04: Treehouse of Horror III
In King Homer, Homer is a giant gorilla running amok.
In Clown Without Pity, there is a monkey's paw on the counter at the "House of Evil: Your One-Stop Evil Shop."

9F06: New Kid on the Block
Homer thinks back to the way he learned about sex as a child... "Zookeeper! Zookeeper! Those two monkeys are killing each other!"
As Homer sits in the window of The Fryin' Dutchman eating seafood with both hands, one of the spectators cries, "Oh, he's hideous!" Another says, "I heard they shaved a gorilla."

9F13: I Love Lisa
Bart takes one of the hearts being served for lunch and groans, "Ohhh..my baboon heart! body...rejecting it!"
In an old clip, Krusty asks about the animal sitting on his head: "why do they call it a 'urine monkey'...?"

1F01: Rosebud
In Burns' vision of the future (1,000,000 AD), man-like monkeys (a la The Planet of the Apes) uncover Bobo the bear.

1F02: Homer Goes to College
Burns tells Homer he must find the Jade Monkey before the next full moon.

1F05: Bart's Inner Child
Among the animals that escape from the zoo when the ferris wheel crashes into it are a monkey and a gorilla.

1F06: Boy Scoutz 'N the Hood
Bart plays a video game called "Panamanian Strongman," in which the title character stands atop a building, from whence he is shot down by circling planes (a reference to King Kong).

1F07: The Last Temptation of Homer
Burns attempts to send flying monkeys to a hotel in Capitol City to stop Mindy & Homer from ordering room service.

1F10: Homer and Apu
After being fired, Apu passes a pet store that has "Laughing Monkeys" in the window.

1F11: Bart Gets Famous
In a flashback about his job as a one-man band, Homer is attacked by an organ grinder's monkey. "Pepe, go for the face!"
On the Krusty set, Gina Ballerina waves a hoop in front of a disinterested monkey.
As Bart distributes sandwiches to the cast & crew, Mr. Teeny sits behind Sideshow Mel smoking a cigarette.

1F13: Deep Space Homer
As employees at the plant monitor the x-ray machine through which the other employees are walking, the skeleton of what looks like a gorilla passes through. It turns out to be Homer, who exits the machine making monkey noises.
All the chimps NASA sent into space "came back super-intelligent."
During a press conference, Homer suddenly realizes "Wait a minute... Statue of Liberty... that was our planet! You maniacs! You blew it up! Damn you! Damn you all to hell!" (ref. to Planet of the Apes)

1F17: Lisa's Rival
One of the FBI guys spots Milhouse on the playground and says, "There he is, on the monkey bars!"
After Skinner unveils Alison's diorama of The Telltale Heart, Bart builds the confusion by shouting, ""It's a cow's heart!" "She's tryin' to make a monkey out of you!"

1F21: Lady Bouvier's Lover
Sideshow Mel conducts the "Monkeytown Philharmonic, " an all-monkey kazoo orchestra.
Homer, watching the Monkeytown orchestra attack Sideshow Mel on T.V., asks, "Maggie, can you point to the monkey?" She points at Homer.


Season 6
2F02: Sideshow Bob Roberts
Bart finds "A. Gorilla" in the phone book.
In the pet cemetary, Lisa and Bart discover that the late Mr. and Mrs. Bananas (both chimps) voted for Sideshow Bob.

2F03: Treehouse of Horror V
As the Simpsons approach Burns' lodge, he exclaims "Oh, goody: the Sea Monkeys I ordered have arrived."
The credits list " J. 'MONKEY BRAINS' MENDEL" as one of the producers.

2F09: Homer the Great
Homer uses his powers as The Chosen One to dress up a bunch of monkeys & make them reenact the Civil War.

2F10: And Maggie Makes Three
Homer gets a job as a pin monkey.

2F11: Bart's Comet
As the shadow of the comet darkens the zoo, a monkey screeches in fear.

2F18: Two Dozen and One Greyhounds
Mr. Burns has a vest "made from real gorilla chest."

2F19: The PTA Disbands
Bart starts a rumor: "Skinner said the teachers will crack any minute." By the time it reaches Mrs. Krabappel, the rumor is "Skinner said the teachers will crack any minute purple monkey dishwasher."

2F31: A Star is Burns
We see Homer's brain at work, and it consists of two monkeys delousing one another.

2F32: 'Round Springfield
Grounds-keeper Willy greets his French class by saying, "Bonjourrrrrrrr, you cheese-eating surrender monkeys!"


Season 7
3F01: Home Sweet Home-Diddly-Dum-Doodily
Bart gets lice from a monkey that Milhouse's family found in a basket they bought at Pier One.

3F03: Lisa the Vegetarian
In a pro-carnivore educational film about the food chain, a shark leaps out of the water & snatches a large gorilla out of a tree.
A chart of the food chain depicts a monkey and an ape as being among the creatures humans eat.

3F07: Marge Be Not Proud
Donkey Kong appears on Bart's shoulder & encourages him to steal Bonestorm.

3F08: Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming
In the opening, the family are Sea Monkeys swimming to a treasure-chest couch.

3F12: Bart the Fink
The bank is holding a promotion that declares "YOU'LL GO APE OVER OUR CAR LOANS;" the employees all wear ape masks.

3F15: A Fish Called Selma
Troy McClure appears in a musical version of The Planet of the Apes

3F18: Twenty-two Short Films about Springfield
At the end, Professor Frink arrives & claims that he was late due to an explosion at the lab, and "the monkey took the glasses right off my head!" When he misses his chance to tell his story, he mutters, "oh, that monkey's gonna pay..."



Season 8

3G01: The Springfield Files
Donkey Kong sits outside the video arcade, smoking a cigarette. When the promoter says something about his waning appeal, D.K. throws a barrel at him.

4F04: A Milhouse Divided
Included in Homer's special wedding vows: "in quiet solitude or blasting across the alkali flats in a jet-powered, monkey-navigated..."

4F05: Burn, Baby Burns
After Homer & Larry hide in the costume shop, a man dressed as an organ grinder exits, accompanied by a man in a gorilla costume.
At the end of the episode, the man in the gorilla costume stands atop a squad car, doing The Monkey.

4F12: The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show
Troy McClure begins his audition for the voice of Poochie by saying, "Hi, I'm Troy McClure. You may remember me from such cartoons as Christmas Ape, and Christmas Ape Goes to Summer Camp."
After the flop of the Poochie cartoon, Flanders tells Homer, "I can honestly say that was the best episode of Impy & Chimpy I've ever seen."

4F13: My Sister, My Sitter
In the "wheelbarrow line" at Dr. Nick's office, we see a singed Dr. Frink who has been brought in by his lab monkey.

4F17: The Old Man & the Lisa
Upon learning what the word "recycle" means, Mr Burns exclaims, "Oh, so Mother Nature needs a favor! Well maybe she should have thought of that when she was besetting us with droughts and floods and poison monkeys!"

4F18: In Marge We Trust
A drumming monkey appears in the background of the Mr. Sparkle ad as he is turning the go-go girls into giggling sumo wrestlers.
Flanders is trapped in "Baboon County USA" at the zoo, wherefrom he must be rescued by Reverend Lovejoy.

4F20: The Simpsons Spinoff Showcase
In Chief Wiggum P.I., a person in a giant monkey mask descends on Chief Wiggum as he runs out into the Mardi Gras parade.

4F21: The Secret War of Lisa Simpson
One of the banana stickers on the police radio at the station house is from the brand "Gorilla's Choice."



Season 9

3G02: Lisa's Sax
Marge asks Bart if he wants to read Curious George and the Ebola Virus.

4F24: Lisa the Simpson
Grampa tells Lisa, "Your dad used to be as smart as a monkey. But then his mind started gettin' lazy, and now he's dumb as a chimp."

5F06: Realty Bites
Marge tells Lisa that Zone R-3 allows residents to keep animals such as "phone-answering monkeys."

5F07: Miracle on Evergreen Terrace
Chief Wiggum removes a stuffed monkey from the Simpsons' house.

5F08: Bart Carny
There is a toy monkey on one of the shelves in the ring toss booth.

5F10: The Last Temptation of Krust
Mr. Teeny makes several appearances in this episode; "I didn't know you, Jay Leno, and a monkey were bathing a clown!"

On their freak-out, Homer and the hippies pass Krusty and Mr. Teeny walking down the sidewalk.

AABF04: Homer Simpson in: "Kidney Trouble"
Bart rents all Homer's favorite gorilla movies, including Gorilla Squadron, Gorilla Island VI, and Apes-A-Poppin'.
The French guy on the Ship of Lost Souls tells Homer, "I stole this accordion from a blind monkey!"

AABF06: Viva Ned Flanders
Lenny asks, "What's your secret, Flanders? goat placenta? monkey sweat?"
There is a gorilla on the roller coaster in front of the Safari Casino in Las Vegas.

Krusty sings, in the adults' song about kids, that they are "channel-hoppin', ritalin-poppin' monkeys."

AABF11: I'm With Cupid
Homer buys Marge a Valentine's card whose cover features two monkeys and the words, "You're a-peeling." The message inside reads, "Let's never split."

AABF12: Make Room for Lisa
A screeching mad monkey is featured on the show Homer is watching, When Animals Attack Magicians.

Bart writes on the chalkboard, "A trained ape could not teach gym"
The art dealer describes "outsider art," saying "it could be by a mental patient, or a hillbilly, or a chimpanzee."

AABF23: Beyond Blunderdome
The Hollywood Auto Museum contains the Monkee Mobile.

AABF22: Brother's Little Helper
Ralph sits on Hosey the Bear's lap, saying "...and I want a bike, and a monkey, and a friend for the monkey..."

AABF19: E-I-E-I-D'OH!
The credits for The Poke of Zorro list "Puddles" as having played the part of "Orangutan at the dance."
The neighbor farmer chides Homer, "You couldn't grow stink on a monkey!"

BABF08: The Mansion Family
One of the fun things going on on Mr. Burns' boat is a monkey knife fight. "Smithers, this monkey's going to need most of your skin."

BABF10: Alone Again, Natura-Diddly
Homer argues that by putting a race track in the bird sanctuary, they didn't ruin it, "they just surrounded it with something wonderful, like a raisin covered in chocolate, or a monkey in a cowboy suit!"

AABF20 - Thirty Minutes Over Tokyo - Canadians appear on Japanese game show where they are covered in scorpions and the host laughs "Sting those Canucks!".

AABF19 - E-I-E-I-(ANNOYED GRUNT) - The Simpsons go see a very bad Zorro movie, if you watch the credits carefully you can see that the Nation Film Board of Canada helped produce the movie.

AABF09 - Homer to the Max - At a meeting of Springfield's players President Clinton rushed off after being told that Quebec has the bomb.

AABF07 - Wild Barts Can't Be Broken - Springfield's baseball team the Isotopes are threatening to move to Moose Jaw after lack of fan support.

AABF03 - As Good As Lisa Gets - The Otto posses as a comptroller says at an assembly "What she [Lisa] just did took courage, and where I come from, Canada, we reward courage."

5F15 - The Bongo Show - Bart is doing a newscast about missing birds and says "Some say the birds flew to Canada, others say Toronto."

5F11 - The Fly King - Ralph Wiggum is the Canadian delegate at Lisa's model U.N. When a fight breaks out, Ralph sings "Oh Canada".

4F23 - Seymour Buttes - Principal Skinner gives Sergeant Skinner ten Canadian dollars as a souvenir he got from his trip to upstate New York.

4F22 - Homer vs. New York State - Bart from the Statue of Liberty "Hey, immigrants! Beat It! Country's full!", boat caption says "Okay, folks. You hear the lady. Back into the hold. We'll try Canada.". Followed by groaning of the immigrants.

4F16 - The Canine Mutiny - Bart gets himself a credit card and buys Marge Vancouver smoked salmon.

4F05 - Burn, Baby Burns -Homer is in a the cider mill with Ned and Ned tells him that in Canada juice is cider and cider is juice.
Not true by the way, just poking fun a Canada's "Oddball" ways.

3F23 - You Only Move Twice - Bart is moved to a remedial class where he meets Gordy. When Bart ask what he was in for he say "I moved here from Canada, and they think I am a little slow, eh?."
This little joke got the shows creator in trouble with some of his Canadian fans read more here.

3F17 - Bart on the Road - The episode were Bart, Millhouse, Martin and Nelson take a trip to Knoxville several things happened:

Bart, Millhouse, and Martin tell their parents they are staying at the Sheraton Hotel in Canada for a National Grammar Rodeo as a cover for their road trip.

The father of a family of fighting kids threatens to turn around if they don't behave, Bart pulls up and Nelson hits the father in the back of the head. "That's it!" the father yells yells. "Back to Winnipeg!".

Martin wakes up and thinks he's in the great cornfields of Canada.

They saw the Canadian film Naked Lunch. After Nelson says ''I can think of at least two things wrong with that title"

2F19 - The PTA Disbands - Marge (who becomes a substitute teacher) complains to Homer "It took the children 40 minutes to locate Canada on the map." and Homer responds "Marge, anyone could miss Canada. All tucked away down there."

2F14 - Homer vs. Patty & Selma - Marge's most international coffee in the house is "Montreal Morn"

9F12 - Brother From The Same Planet - Lisa calls the teen idol Cory's 900 number from school to hear a taped Corey say "Now for the newspaper, Canada stalls on Free Trade Pact."

9F09 - Homer's Triple Bypass - Homer is sick and he is trying to reassure Marge about the operation and he says "America's health care is second only to Japan, Canada, Sweden, Great Britain, well all of Europe."

9F05 - Marge Gets A Job - Homer stalls Marge by looking at his newspaper and telling her "Canada to hold Referendum. Sorry Marge can't talk now."

8F22 - Bart's Friend Falls in Love - Millhouse's girlfriend is sent to Saint Sebastian's School for Wicked Girls, which happens to be run by French Canadian Nuns.

8F17 - Dog of Death - The Simpsons run into hard financial times and cannot afford new clothes for Maggie, they dress her in a "Crown Royale" bag, a famous Canadian drink

8F12 - Lisa the Greek - Lisa is looking up football at the library and she goes over a library card that says "Oddball Canadian Rules".

8F01 - Mr. Lisa Goes to Washington - The winner of the essay contest say in his essay "Where but in America or possibly Canada could my family find such opportunity"
